The Gathering

The Gathering is an annual community festival organized by the Northern Lehigh Historical Society. The Gathering is held on the first Saturday in October and brings the community together for fun, food, prizes, and celebration. The center of activity is located along the Slate Heritage Trail at the Trout Run Covered Bridge (7th Street in Slatington, PA).

Popular area food vendors and local-area craftsmen can be found by the Covered Bridge. The Northern Lehigh Historical Society information tent is also here, where you can purchase Sweatshirts and T-Shirts for youths and adults.

The permanent stage, built from 1.5 ton boulders from the General Morgan Bridge, hosts Live Music for your entertainment, throughout the day.

As you continue through the festival you will cross the Trout Run Covered Bridge. Here you will find baskets of goodies, donated by generous local businesses and community members. Just after crossing the Trout Run Covered Bridge, you will enter into The Biergarten, now sporting a newly constructed pavilion. At The Biergarten you will find a variety of beverages on tap as well as frozen drinks, food, and even more entertainment.

The Gathering closes out the evening with a spectacular fireworks display that is sure to bring a smile to your face. Afterward, head back to The Biergarten and continue The Gathering celebration with even more live music and a nice warm Bonfire.

Mark your calendar and come and join us at The Gathering. We look forward to seeing you there!
